Dear Reader,
I share here what I like and what works for me. If you've been following me, you know that I can change my mind from time to time, and feel free to comment that I'm completely wrong, you may be right. I'm not running a business. I'm not paid and have never received any compensation or facilitation for any review/brand/site here mentioned. In case one day we'll ever meet, I'll be the one offering you a cup of Italian coffee, too.

Impercettibile

Have you noted that "impercettibile" has been written in Italian? Imperceptible difference, isn't it? When I was about to run out the lilac, I've taken the other ball I have got, but they were bought in two different shops, you can note a slight difference in hue: the newer is a little brighter than the old.

I could say, if someone asks, that it dropped into a cup of coffee (Fox is my Muse) or I could wet and put it under the sun, next summer, waiting all vanishing, or I could stop and move to the next square... Lovely, isn't it?!? In my "vision" it should have at least another round and an edging, I've a vague idea of it but I hope it will be clear in a week. I can tat a square per day, so I need 16 days and another don't-know-time for the edging. That has turned out a great WIP, hasn't it?

Homework from the Tatting Designer's class, just to answer to this question: "what is the most important thing you learned from your reading that you can apply to your own Creative Life right now."

"Vision" is an odd word as it translates to Italian: it's as though you're talking about madness or wisdom, nothing in the middle of that. It's a bit different - in my opinion imperceptible - from the English word, that is - as far I can understand - it is also the ability to imagine. (But I can be wrong as also Italian is changing and assimilates new meaning to old words.) Sir Timothy Berners-Lee is recognised as the Father of the World Wide Web. In the site http://www.achievement.org/autodoc/pagegen/keys_to_success.html
you can find his quotes under the chapter "Vision". Here's his lesson to me:
It has not been all designed yet. We can imagine a world of patterns behind each single person, even with imperceptible differences or completely far from each other. We are all unique, I've seen amazing pieces of tatting on Internet, and I'm looking forward to see a lot more of them from you all.
Thank you tatters.

Avete notato che ho scritto "impercettibile" in italiano? Impercettibile, vero? E' carino, no?
Grazie mille, chiacchierine.

  3. Wow, so beautiful that any small differences in thread colour aren't going to be noticed. Which is, of course, the point of your headline!
