It seems that I'm going to complete my WIPs from the last started to the first. I've finished the "forget-me-not" doily and I went back to the second started one. The first started, the centerpiece by Anne Orr, is still waiting the thread, but a bird told me that Lizbeth size 80 arrived in Italy and took me 3 balls too, col. 154, 184 and 122! (bird's name is Maria, thank you dear!) Unfortunately, still without the col. 131...
But something worryingly happened with Morimoto's doily.
In the late hours of one night, Mr Meticulous cried with horror and fainted as soon as he looked at the missed picot. Tragically, the doily let him put itself in a box.
Under the cheerful sunlight of the next day, Dr. Downplay couldn't find anything wrong and merrily added some flowers...
Ciao,

Dear Reader,
I share here what I like and what works for me. If you've been following me, you know that I can change my mind from time to time, and feel free to comment that I'm completely wrong, you may be right. I'm not running a business. I'm not paid and have never received any compensation or facilitation for any review/brand/site here mentioned. In case one day we'll ever meet, I'll be the one offering you a cup of Italian coffee, too.

Your work is always fun to view and so perfect, when we traded once I many times look at your work because is is so perfect to see. this is beautiful and nice colors you have chosen too!
ReplyDeleteWow you're too kind Carollyn, dr. Downplay is often here visiting me ;)
DeleteIt's beautiful! I wish Mr. Downplay would visit my house!
ReplyDeleteThank you Michelle! You know, when you note a missing picot two rounds below, your eyes are always sticking on it! Put it aside for a day, it could help! Lol!
DeleteGorgeous ! My Downplay rules my tatting. So hats off to him. I keep Mr Meticulous in a tight leash most of the time, LOL. If it were up to Mr M, I would never get anything finished !
ReplyDeleteYour forget-me-not doily has taken on a different character with these colours ! Now the focus is more on the flowers (pansies - nice representation & pic!) than on the long picots in earlier round. Unlike the white & red doily.
Looking forward to the WIPs reaching the finish line :-)
Thanks for your comment Muskaan. Well said, it's amazing how colours influence a pattern.
DeleteThank goodness for Mr. Downplay! Beautiful, beautiful work.
ReplyDelete:-) thank you so much Jane, I'll take a closer pic of the teasing chain... When I find it again... Better don't search now!
