Dear Reader,
I share here what I like and what works for me. If you've been following me, you know that I can change my mind from time to time, and feel free to comment that I'm completely wrong, you may be right. I'm not running a business. I'm not paid and have never received any compensation or facilitation for any review/brand/site here mentioned. In case one day we'll ever meet, I'll be the one offering you a cup of Italian coffee, too.

earrings or pendant?

One entire week without a shuttle in my hand! It happened that I went out for Easter, then starting the very first day back home I had a week of fever and stomachache. I'm not completely healed, but I feel I can hold a shuttle or two.

Still dazed after the flu, I can't decide if this pattern is for a pendant or for a pair of earrings. I also have  doubts about the colours and on the pattern in itself. That 3 versions have different stitches' count and a different number of beads. Ends need to be hidden, yet.

The pattern starts from the ring with the 6mm bead, then proceeds all around. The heart shaped elements are "curled inside rings".Thread is silk and polyester for the white and light blue version, (two strands HWT), the brown/copper version is two strands of polyester threads. Thread size is about a size 20. The finished motif is 4cm high.

I'm not yet fed up with prototypes. Gosh! Earrings have to have the same pattern, haven't they? I'm in trouble then!

  1. Sorry to hear you've been ill - I hope you're soon 100% fit! I love this motif. For me, it's a bit big for an earring, but I know that people do wear very big earrings, so that's just a personal preference.

Jane, I like wearing little earrings too, I often wear that kind of little split ring earrings tatted with your pattern!

  7. The gold one looks like some gold jhumka earrings !
I like the blue one better than the single ecru one. However the lower half (like an angel's robe) of this 3rd one is better shaped than the blue.
And the upper ring of blue is better.
    Hope this helps ;-D

  9. Glad you are feeling better. I know you must have been quite sick not to be able to pick up the shuttles. I cannot pick one they all look lovely. I've yet to try curled rings.

  10. Nice to hear your recovering. Love the pattern. The last one is my favorite. Gives an illusion of sparkles.
