Test tatting the centre of a doily (?) for Christmas.
Dmc size 80 thread.
Would you mind to play with me two days to solve the puzzle in the last picot?... Any guess?

Wow, that is some fancy tatting, I am not sure what your question is asking but I will keep checking in to see what you are up too!
ReplyDeleteClever Ninetta! I love new techniques.
ReplyDeleteGood grief - I have no idea what to do on the final join! That is a great idea, but way too fussy for me. YOU are VERY patient with those magic loopy tricks. I do, however appreciate the application of encapsulation....
ReplyDeleteHmmm...I wonder if you could pull the last picot through in the opposite direction and then make a folded join? I'm afraid I've never been successful with the magic thread trick without breaking my thread. This technique is very clever though.
ReplyDeleteUnique design! :)
ReplyDeleteThat's very clever Ninetta and I'm sure it has a lot of possibilities. I look forward to seeing the last join. Thanks for your comment on my blog. I accidentally deleted it, sorry, but I did read it and do appreciate it!
ReplyDeleteThat's very clever and unique, look forward to seeing how it works out

Beautiful tatting and a wonderful idea for tatting over a long picot! For the last one, if I'm seeing it correctly in my head, I would do the last join - the last red ring joined to the first one, then encapsulate that last long picot. Might have to use a tapestry needle to get the thread where it needs to go. Can hardly wait to see your solution. :-)
ReplyDeleteINGENIOUS!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, the exact same thought & word came to mind as I read & viewed your pics - Ingenious !!! Adore the way you think :-)
ReplyDeleteLove the ds on long picots - easier to do & prettier to look at.
